Well-thought-out design for

Easy repairability
Efficiency and safety
Virtus Equipment’s rotor shafts and knife holders are bolted into the rotor to ensure quick and easy repairability in case of accidents or failures. Additionally, this feature acts as a safety breakpoint to prevent further damage to the machine.

Virtus Equipment’s shredders are available with different knife designs to fit your specific application. The knife’s square design has 4 cutting surfaces. Once one surface wears out, rotate the knife 90o to expose a new cutting surface and multiply the knife’s lifespan.

Rotor Types

Virtus Equipment S5 Rotor
S5 Rotor
The S5 rotor is suitable for light materials as well as thick rigid pieces like tanks or crates. The semi-closed design reduces the rotor’s aggressiveness.
Virtus Equipment S7 Rotor
S7 Rotor
Virtus Equipment installs the S7 blade rotor for heavy, thick-walled product applications. Its very closed design avoids overloading even on heavy materials like solid lumps or thick-walled pipe.
Virtus Equipment H9 Rotor
H9 Rotor
Similar to the S7 rotor, the H9 rotor is a very-closed rotor mainly used in heavy applications. Its design allows for the knife support to be constructed from high-test, wear-resistant steel when used with contaminated materials.
Virtus Equipment L7 Rotor
L7 Rotor
The Virtus Equipment L7 rotor features a single, cross-cut design that is used in high-temperature applications like car tanks.

Deflection Wedge

Without Deflection Wedge

The removable deflection wedge houses a third stator knife. Its design allows fast and easy adjustments to the machine’s aggressivity.

With the deflection wedge, the machine’s infeed first cut is at the 2 o'clock position making it applicable for heavy, thick-walled parts like lumps or pipe. The added stator knife increases the number of cuts per revolution, and on light material like film the output increases.

Without the deflection wedge, the machine’s infeed becomes very strong and aggressive with the first cut at the 4 o'clock position making the machine well-suited for bulky materials like canisters or pales.
