Description
The GSL 200/500 Granulator Screen is a precision replacement screen for the GSL 200/500 slow-speed granulator from Virtus Equipment and ZERMA America. The GSL series operates at significantly lower rotor speeds than conventional granulators, generating less noise, dust, and fines — making it the preferred choice for inline granulation of edge trim, film, fibers, and lightweight plastic production waste where a clean, low-stress cutting environment is required.
Technical Specifications:
Machine Model: GSL 200/500
Granulator Type: Low-Speed (Low-RPM) Granulator
Hole Size: See dropdown menu
Applications: Edge trim, film, fibers, lightweight plastic production waste, inline granulation

Key Features:
Low-Speed Granulator Specification: Engineered to the exact dimensional requirements of the GSL 200/500 low-RPM cutting chamber — not interchangeable with screens from conventional high-speed granulator models.
Particle Size Control: Screen hole size directly determines maximum output particle dimension — select the appropriate size for your specific downstream process requirements.
Multiple Hole Sizes Available: Select your required hole size from the dropdown menu to ensure you receive the correct screen for your application.
Low-Dust, Low-Fines Performance: Designed for the GSL series’ low-speed cutting action, which minimizes fines generation and dust compared to high-speed granulation — preserving regrind quality and maintaining a cleaner production environment.
Precision Manufacture: Screen holes are punched or drilled to exact dimensional tolerances for consistent, repeatable output particle sizing across the full screen surface.
OEM-Specification Fitment: Engineered to the exact dimensions of the GSL 200/500 cutting chamber for secure, vibration-free screen seating during operation.
The screen is the primary particle size control component in the granulator. The hole size you select directly determines the maximum output particle dimension — material cannot pass through the screen until it has been reduced below the hole diameter. Proper screen selection ensures regrind quality meets your downstream process requirements, whether for direct reintroduction into the production process or for further processing and recycling.
Regular screen inspection and timely replacement are essential for maintaining consistent output quality and protecting the cutting chamber. Worn or enlarged holes allow oversized particles to pass and reduce regrind quality. Cracked or deformed screens should be replaced immediately to prevent damage to the rotor and cutting chamber components.
