C 70-100 and GSC 700/1000 New Series Screen

Replacement granulator screen for GSC 700/1000 new style compact soundproofed granulators (manufactured after 2012) from ZERMA America and Virtus Equipment C 70-100. Features the updated rod-reinforced construction of the new style design for improved structural integrity and extended service life compared to the earlier screen generation. The screen hole size directly controls the maximum output particle dimension. Material circulates in the cutting chamber until it passes through the screen perforations. Select your required hole size from the dropdown menu to match your downstream process requirements.

Description

The GSC 700/1000 New Style Granulator Screen is a precision replacement screen for GSC 700/1000 compact soundproofed granulators manufactured after 2012 by ZERMA America and Virtus Equipment. This new style screen features rod-reinforced construction, distinguishing it from the earlier pre-2007 and 2007–2011 screen generations — it is important to confirm your machine’s build date before ordering to ensure correct screen compatibility.

The GSC 700/1000 / C 70-100 is a compact soundproofed granulator with a 700 mm diameter rotor at 1000 mm width, housed within a complete sound dampening enclosure for quiet operation. The completely welded cutting chamber uses V-cut rotor technology, and the cutting geometry allows even voluminous materials to be processed. Despite its soundproofed housing, the machine provides easy and quick access to the cutting chamber for knife changes, screen changes, and maintenance. The GSC 700 / C 70 series is primarily used as a central granulator for processing large injected or blow-molded products as well as film.

Regular screen inspection and timely replacement are essential for maintaining consistent output quality and protecting the cutting chamber. Worn or enlarged holes allow oversized particles to pass and reduce regrind quality. Cracked or deformed screens should be replaced immediately to prevent damage to the rotor and cutting chamber components.

Key Features

New Style Rod-Reinforced Construction: Updated design for GSC 700/1000 machines manufactured after 2012 — provides improved structural integrity and service life compared to earlier screen generations.

Particle Size Control: Screen hole size directly determines maximum output particle dimension — select the appropriate size for your specific downstream process requirements.

Wide Hole Size Selection: Available in 6mm, 8mm, 10mm, and 12mm configurations; select from the dropdown menu to match your regrind specification and downstream requirements.

Precision Manufacture: Screen holes are punched or drilled to exact dimensional tolerances for consistent, repeatable output particle sizing across the full screen surface.

Build Date Compatibility: This new style screen is compatible with GSC 700/1000 machines manufactured after 2012. For machines manufactured before 2007 or between 2007–2011, please contact us to confirm the correct screen version for your machine.

Applications: Central granulation of large injected or blow-molded plastic products, film, and production scrap in recycling and manufacturing facilities. Suitable for inline and central recycling operations where quiet operation is required.

The screen is one of the most important performance-determining components in any granulator. The hole size you select directly controls the maximum output particle dimension — material cannot pass through the screen until it has been reduced below the hole diameter, making screen selection the primary method of controlling regrind particle size for downstream processing or direct material reintroduction. Selecting too large a hole size produces oversized regrind unsuitable for your process; too small a hole size reduces throughput and increases fines generation and energy consumption.

Regular screen inspection is essential for maintaining consistent output quality. Worn or enlarged screen holes allow oversized particles to pass, reducing regrind quality and wasting energy. Cracked or warped screens should be replaced immediately to prevent damage to the cutting chamber and rotor assembly.

Compatibility: GSC 700/1000 New Style Compact Soundproofed Granulator (ZERMA America) and C 70-100 New Style Compact Soundproofed Granulator (Virtus Equipment) — manufactured after 2012
